I have gotten some positive feedback from friends who went. Miss Knedlikova (Sarah) thought the Tikka Masala was good, but also said it didn't live up to my description. I can only say I loved it the night I went -- though other dishes were not quite as good. My experience, even as a reader myself, is that when someone raves about something, it raises expectations that are sometimes hard to meet. But maybe they had an off night (or I did ;-)Brewstahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07696497881565368117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9117457965555197769.post-28200067405550659582011-01-16T10:37:48.925+01:002011-01-16T10:37:48.925+01:00Since I can't resist a nice indian rest review...Since I can't resist a nice indian rest review, i had to give this a try.
I was pretty dissapointed though especially in the light of your comments.
The tikka masala was no way near what i remembered from masala, if i were to say, it's more like the current version in masala (which has deteriorated a lot).
Maybe that chef wasn't cooking that evening.
We also tried the Chicken Chettinaad - basically chicken bits soaked in fried onions, almost no flavor.
It's a pitty for indian restaurants especially that the dishes are not consistent and depend on who's cooking.
I've had the best tikka masala at curry house, but it's a hit and miss depending on who's cooking.Florinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14377444493366807058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9117457965555197769.post-73272646995798087352011-01-10T17:15:07.618+01:002011-01-10T17:15:07.618+01:00Right...have to try that one.
