Czech Please - 1st Anniversary

I'm no good with anniversaries. I completely forgot about one.

Yesterday, marked the first anniversary of the existence of Czech Please.

It was Prague's only English language blog dedicated to food and drink until last month, when The Prague Spoon by Laura Baranik appeared on the scene. The more the merrier, I say.

In the last year, I've had a great time telling stories and reliving some good (and not so good) meals in this space.

As I've said before, these are not standard restaurant reviews. They are just brief, personal snapshots at a particular point in time. I pay for meals out of my own pocket. I have no editor except myself. I really just do it for fun.

Posts do have something of an expiration date -- you can't always expect offerings or even prices to be the same after some time has passed. I try to do updates, but it is not always possible for me to go back and change posts when restaurants make changes.

I'll also repeat what it says in the "About Me" sidebar: I am no deep font of culinary knowledge. My tastes are not extremely sophisticated.

I just like to eat in restaurants and go to bars and share my experiences. It's something I've always done. So, perhaps there is at least some breadth, if not depth.

I am glad that some people find it useful or entertaining.

Thanks for reading.

I found your blog couple of weeks ago and now I have catched up with all that you have written last year. And I must say I have enjoyed your writing a lot! The quotations are great too. We'll be visiting Prague in May with my common-law husband and his grand parents. Let´s hope you find more nice restaurants that we can visit too :)
